4) Lawful Basis under DPDP Act
- Consent: clear, specific notice and affirmative action for optional or sensitive processing.
- Legitimate Uses: performance of a contract (admissions, student portal), compliance with law, employment-related purposes, and reasonable purposes such as prevention of fraud or network security.
- Withdrawal of Consent: you may withdraw consent at any time via email to our Grievance Officer. Processing prior to withdrawal remains lawful.
5) How We Use Data
- Provide and improve courses, mentorship, internships, certifications, and placement support.
- Account management, authentication, access control, and fraud prevention.
- Payment processing and accounting (invoices, receipts, tax/GST compliance).
- Service communications: schedules, class updates, exam links, placement alerts.

8) Cross-Border Data Transfers
Where data is transferred outside India (e.g., to global cloud providers), we ensure appropriate safeguards through contractual clauses, processor due diligence, and security controls consistent with DPDP principles.

- Reasonable security practices per SPDI Rules; alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001 controls where applicable).
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, logging/monitoring, backups, and employee confidentiality obligations.
- Incident response: we assess and mitigate incidents; where required, we notify affected users and/or authorities.
10) Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, and to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Examples:
- Account & academic records: for the course lifecycle + statutory limitation periods.
- Financial records (invoices/UTR): as per tax/GST retention laws.
- Support logs: typically 12–24 months, unless needed longer for disputes or compliance.
Upon expiry of the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
11) Your Rights (DPDP)

- Correction/Update: rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
